Tube flies have been around in
Europe for quite awhile before gaining popularity in Canada and the U.S.
with the steelhead and salmon fisherman.
The original concept was that
they caused less damage to the fish and gave the fisherman the opportunity
to change hook size without changing the fly. As
of late, more and more saltwater, pike and bass fisherman are starting to
utilize the tube flies in their arsenals.
